How we compared them
A bio page has one economic job for a merchant: convert the attention a post earned into a product page visit. So we judged every tool against the same four questions, weighted in this order:
- Post-to-product path. When a follower arrives from a specific post, how many taps until they see that product with a price and a buy action? Can they even find the post?
- Shopify integration depth. Does the tool read your real catalog, or does it just hold URLs? Real integration means prices stay current and analytics tie back to products.
- Maintenance load. Does the page update itself as you post, or is it another dashboard you will forget in three weeks?
- Total cost. Including the plan tier where the commerce features actually live, which is rarely the free one.
We took fresh screenshots of every product in July 2026 and re-read current pricing pages. Prices are rounded and will drift; the shape of each tool will not.
The comparison at a glance
| Tool | Best for | Shopify product tagging | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Instafeed+Story | Shopify stores selling from their feed | Native, shared with the on-store feed | Included with the app, free plan available |
| Linktree | Everyone, for everything generic | Via Shopify integration on paid plans | Free, paid from ~$5/mo |
| Later Link in Bio | Teams already scheduling with Later | Post-to-link mapping, no native cart | Bundled with Later plans |
| Beacons | Creators with media kits and digital goods | Its own store block, not Shopify native | Free, paid from ~$10/mo |
| Shorby | Link pages heavy on messaging apps | None native | From ~$15/mo |
| Lnk.Bio | Cheapest possible link page | None native | Free, one-time ~$10 lifetime option |
1. Instafeed+Story (ours, and built for exactly this)
Instafeed+Story is a Shopify app first: it embeds a shoppable Instagram feed on your storefront, and publishes a link-in-bio page from the same product tags. Tag a product on a post once and it is shoppable in both places. The bio page shows your latest posts, up to 8 custom links, and a shop rail, and reports views, post opens and product taps.
The part that matters for the comparison is what happens on tap. Posts with tagged products open a bottom sheet listing those products, with live Shopify prices and a Shop now button that lands directly on the product page, UTM parameters included:

- Where it wins: shortest post-to-product path of anything we tested, zero duplicate work because storefront and bio share tags, product-level analytics, and no separate subscription.
- Where it does not: it is Shopify only, and the bio page is deliberately a commerce page. If you need tip jars, media kits or newsletter blocks on the page, a creator tool below fits better.

2. Linktree

Linktree is the category. Setup takes minutes, everyone recognizes the layout, and the free tier is genuinely usable for a plain list of links. It also has the broadest integration catalog of the group, from music embeds to payment buttons.
Commerce is where it thins out for merchants. The Shopify integration, which can show products on your Linktree, sits in paid plans, and even then the page remains a list of blocks rather than your feed. A follower who arrived from a specific Reel has to match that Reel to a button themselves, which is precisely the friction a bio page should remove.
- Where it wins: speed, familiarity, platform breadth, works for any business type on any commerce stack.
- Where it does not: no post-to-product path, and the useful commerce blocks cost extra every month.
3. Later Link in Bio

Later's bio page recreates your feed grid and lets you attach a link to each post, which is directionally the right idea, and it comes bundled with Later's scheduling plans. If your team already plans and publishes through Later, turning the bio page on is nearly free value, and the post-shaped layout beats a button list for post-driven traffic.
As a standalone purchase it is harder to justify. The links are URLs, not catalog products, so prices and availability live in your head, and checkout intent still exits through a generic page. It is a scheduling suite feature, not a commerce surface.
- Where it wins: bundled value for Later customers, feed-shaped page, solid analytics inside the suite.
- Where it does not: buying it just for the bio page, no native Shopify catalog awareness.
4. Beacons

Beacons bundles a bio page with a media kit builder, email marketing, invoicing and a digital product store, at an aggressive price. For a creator monetizing themselves, it is a remarkable amount of tool for the money, and the AI-assisted page builder is genuinely quick.
For a Shopify store it solves the wrong problem. Its store block sells Beacons-hosted products, digital downloads and services, not your Shopify catalog, so using it as a merchant means maintaining a parallel product list or falling back to plain links.
- Where it wins: creators selling digital goods, media kits for brand deals, most features per dollar.
- Where it does not: physical product stores on Shopify.
5. Shorby

Shorby's angle is messaging: WhatsApp, Telegram and DM buttons front and center on a clean page, plus link trees for posts and a retarget pixel on outbound clicks. If your sales conversations genuinely happen in chat, which is common for services, bespoke goods and some regions, that focus is worth paying for.
There is no Shopify product integration, and pricing starts higher than everything else on this list, so for a typical product store it is the least aligned option here.
- Where it wins: chat-first businesses and service sellers, retargeting on link clicks.
- Where it does not: product commerce, price sensitivity.
6. Lnk.Bio

Lnk.Bio's pitch is price: unlimited links free, and lifetime plans for roughly the cost of two months of a competitor's subscription. The pages are simple and it shows, but the fundamentals work, the analytics cover the basics, and there is no subscription to resent.
There is no product awareness of any kind, so it competes with Linktree's free tier rather than with the commerce tools. If all you need is a reliable, branded list of links, the math is hard to argue with.
- Where it wins: cost, simplicity, one-time payment option.
- Where it does not: anything shoppable, analytics depth, design flexibility.
What makes a bio tool right for Shopify, specifically
Reading across the six, the dividing line is not features, it is what the tool treats as its atomic unit. Creator tools treat the link as the unit: anything can be a button, nothing knows what it points at. Commerce tools treat the product as the unit: pages read the catalog, prices stay live, analytics land on SKUs.
A Shopify store lives on the product side of that line. The three practical tests, from our link-in-bio optimization guide, apply to any tool you evaluate:
- Can a follower who saw a specific post find that post on the page and reach its product in two taps or fewer?
- If you change a price in Shopify, does the bio page update without you touching it?
- Can you see which posts and which products earn taps, in one report?
Instafeed+Story passes all three because it was built from the Shopify side. The honest corollary: if you answered “I do not sell on Shopify” or “my page is mostly a media kit”, the right tool for you is above, and it is not ours.
Setup time and migration notes
None of these tools is a project, but the setup shapes differ enough to mention. Linktree and Lnk.Bio are five-minute jobs: paste links, pick colors, done, and that simplicity is the product. Beacons takes closer to twenty minutes because you will wander into its store and media kit builders. Later assumes you are already inside its scheduling setup, so the bio page is a toggle plus per-post links. Shorby is quick once you decide which messengers deserve buttons.
Instafeed+Story installs from the Shopify App Store like any app: connect Instagram, pick a layout, and the bio page inherits whatever products you tag for the storefront feed, so the marginal setup for the bio page itself is choosing your buttons. Migrating from another tool is the same on every platform: rebuild your three to five links, update the single URL in your Instagram profile, and the switch is invisible to followers. No tool on this list locks your audience in, which is exactly how it should be.
Common questions
Do I even need a bio page tool, or can I just link my store?
You can link the store, and for pure brand plays it is fine. You give up the post-to-product path and per-link analytics, which is where the sales hide. Our Instagram bio guide covers when a raw homepage link is acceptable.
Can I switch tools later without losing anything?
Mostly yes. The bio link in your profile just points somewhere new, and followers never bookmark bio pages. You lose historical analytics, so screenshot your top posts and products before moving.
Are lifetime deals like Lnk.Bio's a trap?
Not inherently; the product has been around for years. The real cost of a budget tool is the missing commerce layer, not the price tag. If you would spend the savings maintaining product links by hand, it was not savings.
Do bio pages support tracking pixels and UTMs?
The commerce-leaning tools do. Instafeed+Story appends UTM parameters to every outbound product click so Shopify attributes the session, Shorby offers retargeting pixels as a headline feature, and Linktree supports analytics integrations on paid tiers. If attribution matters to you, confirm the tool tags outbound links before committing; a bio page that sends anonymous traffic is invisible in your reports.
What about linking to Instagram Shopping instead?
Meta's checkout keeps the sale inside Instagram, with Meta's fees and Meta's customer data. A bio page routes the same intent to your own store, where your margins and analytics live. Many stores run both; the bio page is the half you control.
The verdict
- You sell physical products on Shopify: use a tool where posts open your products. That is Instafeed+Story, and it is the reason we built it.
- You schedule with Later already: use what you are paying for.
- You are a creator, not a store: Beacons.
- You close sales in chat: Shorby.
- You want the cheapest working page: Lnk.Bio, or Linktree free.
Whichever you pick, the bigger wins come from how you run the page: tagged posts, five links or fewer, outcome-named buttons, weekly numbers. Tools change and pricing pages drift, but that operating discipline transfers between every product on this list. Our guide on optimizing your Shopify link in bio covers that playbook in seven fixes, and the Instagram bio guide makes sure the profile above the link earns the tap in the first place.
